MWA is looking to expand its Midwest presence with a second Iowa location. This position will require a motivated, self-starter to grow a real estate and farm management book of business with the support of MWA’s reputation and proven experience.

Job Description
The primary responsibility of this role is sales development including real estate brokerage and auction sales as well as new farm management clients. Once the sales project or farm management client is acquired, the individual will manage the sale or farm management portfolio while continuing to seek out new business.

⎼ Real Estate Sales – acquire new projects, advertise and sell properties to prospective buyers. This includes working with an attorney and client through the closing of the sale.

⎼ Farm Management – represent individuals, families, and entities that own farmland. Communicate with the landowner and represent their capacity in all farm business dealings. Will include on-farm inspections, financial analysis, budgeting, reporting and negotiation of leases.

⎼ New Business Development – Organically grow a new farm management portfolio and real estate sales.

⎼ Understanding of agriculture.
⎼ Good organizational and communication skills.
⎼ Sales skills – client acquisition, retention, account and project management.
⎼ Dependable team member.
⎼ Self motivated.
⎼ Takes initiative. Follows through.

⎼ Bachelor’s degree, preferably in an agricultural or finance related field, or if no degree, equivalent experience.
⎼ Iowa Real Estate Brokers license is required (if unlicensed, must pursue in a timely manner).
⎼ Knowledge of Microsoft 365 Products and Adobe Creative Suite, or the ability to learn.
⎼ Financial modeling experience is a plus, but not required.

This position will require occasional travel across both regional and national locations.

Physical Demands
This position will require the applicant to have the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

MWA offers an attractive compensation package including competitive pay, bonus, benefits, and the opportunity for advancement. The Broker/Farm Manager position will include a base salary with an attractive bonus structure for sales and management business that is procured.

Job Location
This position will be based in Iowa as a remote, virtual office and will have office support handled through the MWA Champaign, IL office.
